Cleveland Copier Maintenance

Maintenance agreement 101

Do you need to purchase a copier? If you are then you will probably be shopping for maintenance agreements too. There are a few basic types that you normally see. Knowing them will help you make an educated decision.

  1. Cost per print. This is a good bottom line agreement. You know exactly how much maintenance is going to cost because it is directly related to how many copies you make.
  2. Toner out: You buy your maintenance agreement separately from toner. This is handy for small copiers because you can buy one agreement at the beginning of the year and not worry about cost no matter how much you print.
  3. Maintenance included: Toner is purchased at an inflated price, but the maintenance is worked into that price. This is nice if you don’t want to spend a lot at the beginning of the year, or if you have some low volume copiers that you still want maintenance on.
